Milano, Teatro Gerolamo

On Friday 9 December the Gerolamo Theater in Milan welcomes Paolo Fresu Trio composed of the famous trumpeter, Daniele Di Bonaventura (Bandoneon) and Leila Shirvani (cello).

Paolo Fresu combines universally known songs with less famous but of great interest melodies, such as those belonging to the “Cantones de Nadale” repertoire that the Berchiddese parish priest and literate Pietro Casu wrote together with the canon Augustine Sanna di Ozieri in December 1927, and which since then They are performed throughout Sardinia.

“I still have in my ears the celestial melodies of” Night De Cheru “and” In Sa Notte Profundha “sung by the Barchidda choir and by all the faithful the night of Missa ‘and Puddhos. Outside he often snowed, and in the houses the fireplaces were lit pending the Christmas lunch and gifts. The Agnellini with the red bow, donated by the shepherds to the children, okay in the houses and waited for the return of the faithful after that mass that we clerics had the honor of serving in that special night. The voices of Frank Sinatra, Mel Toré and Bing Crosby arrived later, with television, and embodied the American dream, Walt Disney cartoons and large trees decorated and surrounded by shiny parcels but often also by poor gifts but also in common imagination but also by poor gifts but with an intense flavor like those offered by the earth. Two different and distant worlds that have always been united by beautiful songs. In short, Jazzy Christmas is our way of putting unforgettable sensations and memories together ».
