“Family sounds”

The Shirvani sisters, talented musicians, outside the consolidated patterns, towns of the new global village and daughters of the Erasmus generation, are both born in Rome but are of Anglo-Persian origin. The eldest is Leila, born in 1992, cellor and daughter of art, learned the secrets of the instrument by dad Mike and then took off alone, moving rigorously but without any inhibition between the baroque repertoire to the contemporary one. Her younger sister Sara, twenty -two -year -old pianist, also combines respect and love for tradition (Mozart, primarily) and the taste for experimentation and novelties.

The Sicilian Association Amici della Musica dedicates and pays homage to 200 doctors, nurses and health workers engaged in the front line in the Covid emergency, the inaugural concert of the autumn review scheduled for October 18, to Politeama Garibaldi, of the duo The Shirvani Sisters.
